The purpose of this blog is not to prove what a musical expert I am... that would be quite impossible because, as perhaps you've noticed, I ain't one.
I mean, if you like my blog or you learn something new here or whatever -- good! And yes, I do have some useful knowledge to share, of course. I'll try to always be as "accurate" and as understandable as possible.
This blog exists mainly because I wanted to start my own personal archive of tunes, songs, that I like to play. Many of them are already included in several other online archives -- over the years, I've appreciated those wonderful collections and often made use of them. My thanks to the musical scholars who created these wonderful websites!
I will probably add links to some of the great tune sites available... when I get around to that.
My approach in adding to this blog is not so much as a scholar trying to make the best scientific collection, some world encyclopedia thing (though, those are fine). Partly, for me, it's that I'm a senior citizen now and my back gets very tired, I sit on my rocking chair often (if I'm not lying down!), but my fingers still work a bit so I can use my phone and work on some blogs. I play my EC (English concertina) and add tunes to my blog in whatever random way I happen to choose! 🤪😄
